Time to start training?

As I write this, there are around 5 months until the event - “loads of time to get ready” you might say, but let’s be honest, skiing and snowboarding are hard work on the body, so it probably makes sense to get started sooner rather than later.

Prehab & rehab for skiing & snowboarding will form part of the CPD content of the event but in the meantime we’ve found some resources that could be useful.

Tommie is a snowboarder first and foremost and has some amazing technique advise and drills for new and experienced boarders. He’s also had his fair share of injuries and shares some insights into his rehab journey back to the mountains

Personally I’ve shifted focus to more lower limb and balance work to prepare me for the slopes. Last year my calves took a hammering as my balance wasn’t where it needed to be at the start of the trip, so that’s my primary focus.

To help me do a little every day, I’ve bought myself a balance board - wish me luck!
